Infinite Z Launches zSpace 3D Dev Community

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, Nov. 19 – Infinite Z, Inc., a technology provider that is shaping the future of human-computer interaction, today announced the launch of its zSpace Developer Community, a new initiative to foster creative application development and help developers realize the potential of creating natural and lifelike applications with zSpace.

Designed as a free online community where developers can collaborate with one another and zSpace engineers, members can now download the newest release of the zSpace SDK, version 2.7. Before this program, the previous versions were only available to select developers, which resulted in over 500 downloads of the SDK. All members will also be invited to events hosted by Infinite Z, have access to forums and a knowledge base, receive unlimited online support, and can participate in a number of new programs that provide further guidance and ensure platform accessibility. The programs include:

  • Accelerate - For a low annual fee, members of the Accelerate Program receive their own zSpace System, upgraded for technology advances during the term of the program, as well as phone support, individualized development assistance and co-marketing activities.
  • Certified Solution - Once a developer has completed enabling their solution for zSpace, they can submit it to zSpace engineering to be considered for the "zSpace Certified Solution" designation. After developers receive the designation, the zSpace marketing team will provide branding materials and other marketing support.
  • Star Developer - This program is designed to recognize and reward outstanding developers known for contributing their technical experience, sharing development knowledge and collaborating to make the developer community stronger.

"The zSpace Developer Community has been a key partner in EchoPixel's medical visualization application development efforts," said Sergio Aguirre, Founder and CTO, EchoPixel, Inc. "Using zSpace allows us to provide a highly realistic environment, which is enabling us to expand diagnostic, surgical planning, and image guided treatment capabilities to a new level of clinical excellence. We intend to take full advantage of the support Infinite Z offers in order to optimize our development process."

"The advancements in 3D we have seen over the last few years are remarkable, and open the door for further creativity and innovation among developers," said Dave Chavez, Chief Technology Officer, Infinite Z. "We've been amazed at some of the projects created with zSpace and hope to build a community of enthusiastic developers eager to take on a new platform. In addition, this community will ensure that zSpace systems are widely accessible, making it easy for developers to embrace this new platform and realize its endless potential."

By participating in the zSpace Developer Community, developers across a number of industries including manufacturing, healthcare, education, entertainment and others have a hands-on opportunity to work with a new platform that offers unprecedented visualization, detail and interactivity. As the capabilities of 3D technology continue to improve, it will be important for developers to explore and understand the real-world efficiencies made possible through interactive 3D advancements, and apply these capabilities to the applications they bring to market.
