OFS Brands EDF Products As RightWave EDF Product Family With Over 20,000km Shipped


SOMERSET, N.J., July 9 – OFS, a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of innovative fiber optic network products, has announced new branding for its erbium doped fiber (EDF) portfolio.  OFS has a corporate heritage in EDF going back to 1989. Today, with over thirty EDF products and more than 20,000 kilometers shipped over the past ten years, OFS has the industry's broadest EDF portfolio, which will now be known as the RightWave™ EDF Product Family.  This product family includes the successful flagship EDF MP980 that is a desired choice for erbium doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) product designs worldwide, while other products within the portfolio are geared towards amplifiers operating in the C-Band and L-Band. NASA to 3D Print the Future of Food

May 22, 2013 | NASA has awarded a $125,000 grant for a project intended to 3D print food for astronauts in space. The printer will mix together basic nutrients such as oil and protein powder to create the food. It will also allow the user to input their sex, age, and weight so that it can make the food based on the individual's own nutritional needs.
